Chiara Consolaro, Researcher

Chiara is a Researcher in the NORCRUST project, contributing to the Methane Seepage History research group at CAGE.
Chiara Consolaro was a Post-Doctoral Researcher at the Department of Geology, UiT The Arctic University, Tromsø, Norway, from September 2010 until March 2013. When she moved to the UK (Plymouth), she continued the collaboration with the Department of Geology and CAGE in Tromsø with a part-time Researcher position within the group of Methane Seepage History. In the last year and a half she joined the Marine Biological Association in Plymouth (UK) as Plankton Analyst within the CPR (Continuous Plankton Recorder) Survey team.
She recently moved back to Norway (Oslo) and the collaboration with CAGE continues.
Chiara holds a master degree and a PhD degree in Earth Science (Micropaleontology) at the Department of Geosciences, University of Padova (Italy) in 2001 and 2005 respectively.
Her main research interests are high-resolution biostratigraphy, stable isotope stratigraphy, paleoenvironmental and paleoclimatic reconstruction using benthic and planktic foraminifera from marine sediments, and in particular from methane seeps environments.
