Frank Jakobsen, PhD candidate

Frank is a PhD candidate within The Role of Ice Ages work group at CAGE.
His current PhD research focuses on palaeo-glaciology and possible relations to underlying carbon reservoirs on the NE Greenland shelf. In addition, Frank holds a position as a researcher at the Geological Survey of Norway (NGU) with interests in marine geological mapping and glacial history. NGU email: frank.jakobsen@ngu.no
Frank holds a BSc. in Geology and a MSc. in Marine Geology and Geophysics from UiT – The Arctic University of Norway. His MSc. project examined possible interactions between glacial dynamics and fluid flow in the SW Barents Sea. Since graduation, he has worked at NGU with marine geological mapping of various areas on the Norwegian shelf, coast and fjords.
