Andrea Schneider

Andrea Schneider is a PhD candidate at UiT The Arctic University of Norway in Tromsø. Her project aims 1) to identify and correlate past methane emissions from the seafloor from the Vestnesa risge in W Svalbard, and 2) to evaluate preliminarily the potential of increase in methane emissions form the Arctic Ocean seafloor as a consequence of forecasted global warming.

Andrea received her bachelor degree in Physical Geography and Biology (2006) from Humboldt University in Berlin, Germany, and her master degree in Quaternary Sciences and Climate Development (2013) from Stockholm University, Sweden, with exchange visits to the University Centre in Svalbard.
