Anna Silyakova

Anna is a physical oceanographer by training. In her postdoctoral project she studies processes that affect spatial and temporal variability of methane seeping from the seabed into the water column.

She holds a PhD degree in chemical oceanography from the Geophysical Institute, University of Bergen.

Her PhD work was focused on the Arctic Ocean carbon biogeochemistry under climate change and ocean acidification. Anna has experience of working with CO2 perturbation  experiments and coupled physical-biological ecosystem models.
