Chiara Consolaro was a postdoctoral researcher at the Department of Geology, UiT The Arctic University of Norway from September 2010, before moving to the UK and joining the Centre for Research in Earth Science (CRES) at Plymouth University. She will however continue the collaboration with the Department of Geology and CAGE in Tromsø.
Chiara holds a master degree and a PhD degree in earth science (micropaleontology) from the Department of Geosciences, University of Padova (Italy), from 2001 and 2005 respectively. She has also been a research assistant and postdoctoral researcher at the Department of Geosciences, University of Padova (Italy).
Chiara’s main research interests are high-resolution biostratigraphy, stable isotope stratigraphy, paleoenvironmental and paleoclimatic reconstruction using benthic and planktic foraminifera from marine sediments, and in particular from methane seeps environments.
